Volunteer @ VBS!

We need your help to make the Bible come alive for children at The Summit's VBS. We need volunteers for a variety of roles. We're doing the prep work for you! We just need leaders who love Jesus and want to build relationships with our kids.

Children of volunteers automatically get a spot at VBS.

Each volunteer will have to pass a criminal background check.

Take a moment and look through all the different positions to find the one that is best suited for you. Positions will be filled first come/first serve, so please let us know in your registration your top three choices.

If you want to be involved in VBS, but maybe help out during the week, this could be the perfect job for you! We will need lots of help decorating and other general prep items at various times throughout the week before VBS (June 11-18). 

Responsible for a small group of children (6-12 total); greet parents and children each morning as they arrive. Handle administrative tasks (pick-up authorization notes, sign-out sheets, attendance, etc.). Follow the daily schedule for your designated group. Lead small group through reviewing memory verses, passing out materials, praying, and talking with the children about the daily big idea.

Must be 16 years or older and available all 5 days.

Assist lead guide with daily tasks, such as attendance, keeping group together, helping with small group time, and running errands (as directed by lead guide). 

Assist game leader in managing games during the week. Must be willing to work outside in various types of weather (heat, light rain, etc). 

Assist craft leader in managing craft activities during the week. Enjoyment of crafts and assisting children is a must. 

Assist snack leader in preparing, providing, and cleaning up snacks during the week.

The runner's job is to assist the VBS Director with various tasks and errands throughout the week. Whether it is making copies or filling water jugs, this job will always consist of something new!

Do you love little children and want to serve our VBS volunteers? We provide childcare for our volunteers' young children (birth-4 years old) during VBS. Each day you will get to play with kids and share God’s love with them while allowing their parents to serve in their volunteer roles.
