01. Read Colossians 3:21. Another description of the word discourage is to lose heart. Discuss the opposite of what it means to lose heart. Share a situation in which you experienced a lost heart. 

02. Define the word flourishing. Is there a difference between biblical flourishing and worldly flourishing? 

03. Discuss the difference in these statements: 

• We are responsible to create an environment in which our children can flourish
• We are responsible for the flourishing of our children. 

Which phrase are you more prone to put into practice, and why?

04. Does pursuing and investing in the flourishing of our children ever stop? Why or why not?

05. What are some ways through which we can cultivate the flourishing of our children, friends, spouses, or co-workers as representatives of God's kingdom?
