QUESTIONS
01. Who is the most famous person you have ever met? How did they act? How do you feel they wanted people to think about them?
02. Read Matthew 21:1-11. What does this show us about the crowd’s opinion of Jesus at this time? What is the significance of Jesus entering Jerusalem like this?
03. Read Zechariah 9:9. Why is this prophecy important?
04. Hosanna is a Christianized form of the Hebrew word Hoshana. It means something like “save now” or “give us help from our oppression!” How would the crowd have defined salvation? How was Jesus about to define it? Is your definition of salvation different than how Jesus would define it?
05. In the upside down kingdom, Jesus entered in humility and peace when the crowds expected war. What does it look like for us to follow the example of King Jesus?
